CHAINge Your Perspective

1/29/25

Innovation, education and
collaboration in supply chain

Traditional conferences have always been a good way to learn more about an industry, network with fellow professionals and plan for your future career. But the global economy — and our places within it — are rapidly changing, and it’s crucial that we meet the moment. That’s why we at ASCM decided to revolutionize our annual conferences and launch CHAINge.

CHAINge is not your average conference — it’s a catalyst for growth created by supply chain professionals for supply chain professionals. There’s a reason our theme is innovation, education and collaboration to build better, more efficient and sustainable supply chains.

To discuss CHAINge in more depth, CEO Abe Eshkenazi spoke withBart A. De Muynck, industry expert and CHAINge conference chair, and Craig Jones, senior vice president, global distribution and logistics operations at Levi Strauss & Co and CHAINge advisory council member, for a LinkedIn Live event. During the conversation, Bart mentioned  emphasized that people   who come to CHAINge, are not just  attendees — they’re  contributors to the content and the conference. By participating in sessions with industry experts, participants acquire a “goodie bag” of knowledge and tools to take back to their companies they can use right away to help shape their supply chains.

At CHAINge, it’s not just having theoretical discussions about things that might happen 5-10 years from now;  it’s about how real companies have faced challenges, made changes and responded to disruptions to become more agile and overcome adversity. It’s a real opportunity for organizations to learn from each other.

The topics of focus are myriad: Strategy and leadership; global trade, tariffs and regulations; sustainability; and attracting and retaining top talent. Bart noted that one thing they’ll be discussing at length at CHAINge is technology; not the “hot next thing out there, but technology that you can use right now, what has value.” And at the conference, attendees and presenters alike can talk about mistakes to avoid with each emerging technology.

“The technology we’ll be discussing at CHAINge is not just the hot next thing out there, but technology that you can use right now that has value.” – Bart A. De Muynck

It was discussed during the livestream how collaboration is key in today’s supply chain and global economy, and as the world changes, so do the issues facing supply chains. Abe commented on the industry's increased visibility, saying, “Our industry is so much more visible than it was in the past: We’re no longer sitting in the back office but in the C-suite, designing and implementing strategic and visionary decisions.” He added, “Our challenge today is not just the disruptions in supply chains but the focus on our work and outcomes. Supply chain professionals have a seat at the table; now we need to make our capabilities and contributions to the organization clear.”

“CHAINge represents the strength of the interconnectedness within global supply chains and symbolizes a commitment to drive forward-thinking solutions that really push boundaries.” – Craig Jones.

Bart agreed, “2025 will be challenging and complex. We need to help supply chains transform, respond to the need for agility and resilience, and combat the complexity of today’s world.”

Everyone in supply chain, from new graduates to seasoned executives, has a reason to attend CHAINge this year. As Craig noted,“ Being a part of CHAINge gives industry executives a chance to engage with fellow executives and thought leaders to foster collaboration and partnerships.”

Furthermore, they can connect with key stakeholders from diverse organizations who have a deep understanding of the supply chain landscape and trends shaping the profession. Meanwhile, supply chain managers can focus on staying ahead of the curve by learning from experts on cutting-edge technology, trends, best practice in supply chain management, keynotes, deep dive sessions, and panels, discussing the “real real” of what’s happening in supply chain today. They’ll be able to expand their professional network, get fresh perspectives and gain new advancement opportunities. Craig continued: the CHAINge conference is “brimming with possibilities!”

This year’s events are coming up fast. CHAINge Europe, in Brussels, Belgium, will be 17-18 June. And CHAINge North America will be held in Columbus, Ohio, this year, September 9-10. As a special incentive, right now we’re offering $200 or €200 off the price of registration. Just enter promo code ELEVATE when you sign up today.
